Las Mujeres Legendarias: @Ford Recognizes the Achievements of Five Legendary Latinas

Ford Motor Company has a long history of recognizing the achievements of women in our society. While most people know her as the wife of Henry Ford, Clara Bryant Ford was a philanthropist and community leader in her own right and a key figure in the long history of influential women. In the footsteps of Clara Bryant Ford, this past Thursday, December 12th, Ford conducted a private event to honor five Hispanic women for his constant contributions to the Latino community in the tri-state area.

Mujeres Legendarias de Ford NY1During the event, the automaker honored the women of today under the slogan "Legendary Women of Ford" that day left an indelible mark for their hard work in their daily lives. Initiative was launched at the National Month History of Women in order to honor Hispanic women who embody the basic features of Ford - smart, sustainable, quality and safety.

"Ford is proud to honor Neyda, Vicglamar, Sobeida, Jessenia Merijoel and for his leadership and contributions to the Hispanic community in the city of New York," said Alvaro Cabal, Director of Multicultural Relations at Ford Motor Company.

"Women are at the forefront of change and are contributing significantly to an increase in its progress and power," said Sheryl Connelly, Director of Global Trend Ford. "As the world changes, women obviously change with it," Connelly noted. "Every day, the world is changing and women play a key role in the changes that are occurring."
