Alexander Wang Teams Up With Beats By Dr. Dre
Fashion designer Alexander Wang has designed a limited-edition line for Beats by Dr. Dre, featuring his signature pale gold accents and matte black finishes, reported Women's Wear Daily.
“The limited-edition collection for Beats by Dr. Dre includes my favorite headphones and portable speaker,” said Wang. “For this collaboration with Beats by Dr. Dre, it felt right and a natural choice for me to give the Beats Studio headphones, Beats Pill and Urbeats earbuds a clean, minimal look with a luxe sensibility.”
Headphones retail for $449, the speaker for $299 and the earbuds are $149 and the collection launches online on December 16 but will be offered in a presale event on December 15 at beatsbydre.com.
“I have always looked to music and musicians for inspiration and as collaborators because there is such a purity to their talent. Different types of music can also transform how you interpret or understand a fashion show, or film. It’s creating a story and translating a message,” said Wang.
