Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Beauty

Dia De Los Muertos Naya RiveraDay of the Dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. You might encounter couples expressing “Hasta la muerte,” or “Until death,” which symbolizes eternal love through traditional dress, sombreros or skeleton costumes.  Similarly you might attend gatherings with family and friends to remember and celebrate in a jovial way those who have passed on.

We love beauty, we’ll get to that in a sec…but check out the Day of the Dead photo editing features from PicMonkey.com. It’s way too easy to turn yourself into the ultimate Day of the Dead character- virtually.

I played with a photo of Naya Rivera! If you don’t know about PicMonkey, I encourage you to take a look at the site and play around with some of the effects-just upload a photo from anywhere and dive right in-no need to register or download any software.

Whether you like to celebrate costume parties in a big way, or if you just want to keep the Day of the Dead tradition alive in a small way, here are products that can help you get a look inspired by this celebration of life.
