Tonight in NYC: Charity Celebrity Dodgeball Game to Benefit Project SHARE's “Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless”
Did you know that there are more than 60,670 homeless people each night in the NYC shelter system?
On Thursday, November 19, join celebrities and the Pace Community as Sandlot Sports NYC presents The Dodge Ball in the Gym on the NYC Campus.
Sandlot Sports NYC's first annual Charity Celebrity Dodgeball Game to benefit the homeless will be held in the gymnasium on Pace University’s downtown New York City. Proceeds from the Charity Celebrity Dodgeball Game will go to Project SHARE's “Thanksgiving Dinner for the Homeless.” The goal is to feed an unprecedented 1,000 local Westchester County and New York City men, women, and children with a home-cooked meal, in addition to handing out 1,000 waterproof fleece-lined blankets, made in the USA.
Celebrities playing Thursday evening include Dr. Ian Smith, Jill Hennessy AND:
Michael Strahan, former New York Giant and co-host of LIVE! with Kelly and Michael; Elizabeth Tam, 2012 Miss New York; Grandmaster Melle Mel, hip-hop musician and former lead rapper and songwriter for Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five; Kurtis Blow, rapper and record producer; and T-Bone, the official mascot of Pace Athletics will be among the participants in the Charity Celebrity Dodgeball Game in the evening.
