A recent report conducted by YouGov on behalf of HelloFresh measured US consumer grocery shopping habits and found the 33 percent of American overall, and almost exactly half of Hispanic Americans (49 percent) overspend by at least $50 weekly at the grocery store, which is about $2600 annually.
If you are unfamiliar with HelloFresh, it is a new recipe kit service that delivers recipes and their exact ingredients to your home every week, helping Americans discover new, healthy ways of cooking fresh meals without wasting time, money or ingredients. Check out my review here.
Key study results found that:
· One in three Americans (49 percent of Hispanics) overspends by at least $50 on the weekly grocery store visit (that’s $2600 annually);
· More than half of Americans spend over two hours per week shopping for groceries;
· One in five Americans (19 percent of Hispanics) feels too busy to cook after work – a striking statistic considering how much time is spent in the grocery store weekly.
