Dressing for Fashion Week in New York is a sport! As a journalist I cover shows and events that take place all week. My fashion week means super early call times backstage to chat with models, celeb makeup artist, hairstylists, nail artists and designers. I have to dress for on-camera interviews in tight crammed spaces, so not glamorous. Often my practical side overrides my desire to wear the outfit I envision in my mind. I use accessories to make a look stand out and what results is a compromise of fun looks that work for my long days. Case in point my favorite fashion week outfit:
I was feeling Boho Chic with a twist of Rock N Roll. I had to wear these fun Luichiny booties (GLEEM ING). These heel-less wonders may concern you at first, they look like you’d end up face-planting with one wrong move. In fact, they are surprisingly stable as long as you don't get too comfy!
Up on top: The floppy fedora with bejeweled trim from Juicy Couture.
Next I rocked this necklace and ring from ShopBevel.
I love this site for finding new designer (at really good prices).
The ring really pops against my Marc By Marc Jacobs Black Leather Biker Gloves.
Cinched my waist with this Corset Belt
