Pret Launches New Vegetarian Menu so Delicious it’s Not Just For Veggies Pret A Manger is introducing 20 vibrant new vegetarian and vegan recipes this spring, created for veggies, vegans and omnivors alike.
Pret’s chefs have been hard at work developing the 20 new recipes, which are launching across all US shops on April 25th! I was one of the lucky people who had a chance to try out some of the yummy new items at their one-day veggie menu pop-up event on Saturday April 22nd in NYC.
Inspired by the popularity of its Veggie Pret shops in London and with demand for fresh and filling vegetarian food on the rise, Pret is introducing this vibrant menu as part of its global “Not Just for Veggies” campaign.
The new menu features the Chakalaka Wrap, a vegan South African inspired recipe made with a traditional spiced bean & tomato relish and a vegan Miso Sweet Potato Banh Mi, layered with Sir Kensington’s Fabanaise. Joining them will be a range of colorful salads, sandwiches and veggie pots, as well as a vegan Matcha Latte, made with almond milk and PANATEA matcha.

Chakalaka Wrap, vegan
A vegan South African inspired tomato & bean relish topped with coconut yogurt alternative, roasted butternut squash, kale, and sliced red pepper rolled into a whole grain tortilla.
Miso Sweet Potato Banh Mi, vegan
Pret's vegan twist on a Banh Mi: miso-marinated roasted sweet potato with a touch of maple syrup, cucumber, carrots, pickled cabbage & carrot, sesame seeds, cilantro and mint with alight spread of Sir Kensington's Fabana & spicy chipotle sauce on a freshly baked baguette.
Greek Salad Baguette, vegetarian
Roasted tomatoes, Kalamata olives, sliced cucumber and red topped with crumbled onions feta, yogurt dressing and mint leaves on a freshly baked baguette
Spicy Black Bean & Mango Wrap, vegan
Black beans mixed in a spicy chipotle sauce and topped with a refried black bean mango, sliced avocado, charred corn, sliced red pepper and a hint of cilantro rolled into a whole grain tortilla
Asian Tofu Sushi Salad, vegan
Marinated organic tofu, seaweed, pickled cabbage & carrot with edamame, fresh cilantro chili, lime and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Served with sushi rice and Pret's Asian seasoned dressing.
Mediterranean Mezze Salad, vegan
This colorful salad is loaded with falafel, roasted butternut squash, harissa coated chickpeas, beet hummus topped with dukkah spice, pomegranate seeds and a few fresh mint leaves over a bed of mesclun
Veggie Fiesta Salad, vegetarian
A vibrant salad with a slight kick featuring black beans, charred corn, jicama & zucchini slaw, cubed pepper jack, avocado, pickled red onions, cilantro & lime over a bed of romaine and spinach leaves.
Chipotle Sweet Potato Toasted Tortilla
Sweet potato mixed with chipotle sauce and layered with melted Swiss, red peppers, refried black bean salsa and a touch of yogurt dressing and cilantro folded into a wholegrain tortilla and toasted to perfection.

Falafel & Beet Hummus Pot, vegan
Falafel, sliced cucumber, mint and pomegranate seeds over beet hummus.
Chipotle Corn & Avo Veggie Pot, vegan
Lightly seasoned avocado and charred corn drizzled with chipotle sauce with cilantro and lime
Asian Greens Veggie Pot, vegan
Seaweed, avocado, edamame and a touch of cilantro sprinkled with sesame seeds.
Butternut Squash Mezze Pot, vegetarian
Roasted butternut squash and walnuts drizzled with olive oil and honey over Greek yogurt.
Carrot Turmeric Soup, vegan
A velvety smooth blend of carrots, tahini and turmeric.
Fresh Matcha Latte, vegan option available
A smooth and creamy latte made with PANA TEA matcha.
Blueberry Green Tea, vegan
blueberries and whole leaf organic green tea with fresh sweetened with blueberry syrup.
As part of the new campaign, customers will be asked to have an active say in the future of Pret’s veggie menu with the call to action to post “Love it or Leave it?” feedback in the shop or on social media using #notjustforveggies.
