As you already know, I am a big Project Runway fan. So whenever I get to catch up with Project Runway alum I jump at the chance. I've interviewed: Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia, Christian Siriano, Anya Ayoung-Chee, Malan Breton, just to name a few.
Recently, I caught up with Nick Verreos, of Project Runway Season 2 fame, who has partnered up with Best Western Hotels to share his best #TravelStyle tips for YouMustBeTrippin.com and a new video series.
Here is one of my favorite tips for frequent fliers and jet-setter should know about how to save space while packing:
Roll Don't Fold
"A great packing tip that ALL the jet-setters practice is rolling your garments as opposed to folding them. By rolling your shirts, pants and skirts, it actually allows for more room in your suitcase, and more importantly decreases the chance of creases and wrinkles."
Allison Georgoulis, a travel-industry pro with a passion for fashion, shared her top tips for Maintaining Your Style On The Road. And her top tiip for YouMustBeTrippin.com is about how to figure out what to pack. Its so simple too.
Check the forecast!
"It seems like a basic tip, but so many people fall into the trap of “but the weather in X is always Y.” Don’t fall into this trap! Check the extended weather forecast the night before you leave to make sure of no sudden weather shifts. No one can expect to maintain their style while looking soggy in a torrential downpour or sweating out a late summer heat wave in a turtleneck!"
