Hairstylist Leonardo Manetti for L’Oréal Professionnel channeled high glamour from the film noir era as seen on the Fall 2012 Jenny Packham runway during an early 7 am call time this morning at Mereceds Benz New York Fashion Week.
Manetti fashioned this period look by first dividing the hair into front and back sections at the crown. Next, Manetti created victory rolls in both the front and back of the head. The front victory roll dipped down ever so slightly across the forehead, while the back roll was formed using a hair net, then molded into a wide U-shape.
To achieve the style, Manetti prepped the hair with L'Oréal Professionnel Volume Expand Volumizing Leave-In Spray ($24.00 / 4.2 fl. oz.), then blow-dried with a flat brush. After sectioning hair, Manetti sprayed each section with L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium 2 ($24.00 / 11 oz.) hairspray, then teased them to create volume and texture before victory-rolling.
The entire look was finished off with L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium 3 ($24.00 / 11 oz.) hairspray to maintain the shape and L'Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer ($21.00 / 5.8 oz.) for added sheen.
