Spring Training: My 5 Daily Fitness Essentials

I know staying dry gives me a boost of confidence and that lets me focus what I need to get done. Right now, my focus is health and fitness. I wanted to share my 5 daily fitness essentials here:

Fitness is important to me but my goal is less about aesthetic and more about moving my body. I know that might mean fitting in a quick 20 min weight session at the gym or taking a Soca music dance class.

2. Music

Having a good pair of headphones and the tunes help me stay motivated during my workout. For cardio I crave dance music and for weights I need hip-hop and rap to get me through it. 

3. Skincare Simplified

I've had skin issues recently so I am going back to basics and simplifying the products I am using on my face. That means makeup and skincare. 

4. Sleep

Getting a full night sleep (up to 8 hrs) is ideal. I have been trying to stick to a schedule and go to bed earlier, even if I don't fall asleep right away. The more rest I get, the more time my body has to recover. 

5. Mediate

To prevent sleep issues I am incorporating meditation in my daily routine too. I start with a mantra (or any positive phrase) and take just a few minutes to clear my head. It helps to get me centered and ready for the day with some added clarity.
