It’s a new era for fashion. Tommy Hilfiger is just one of the briands breaking the old-school rules of the runway by giving instant access to their Fall 2016 Hilfiger Collection and the new TOMMYXGIGI capsule. We went backstage to get you the makeup and nail looks for the show!
Tommy Hilfiger took over Pier 16 with a refreshed concept for a show. This runways show will feature the brands greatest hits, remixed and restyled for the digital age and shoppable the moment the lights go up.
Exploring their 30-year archives––nautical, sport, rock-n-roll, Americana––and adding a modern day swagger. There were plays on proportions and fabrics, making Tommy signature details pop. It’s nautical meets street; inspired by Gigi Hadid and designed to be worn as you like it.
We also loved the makeup and nail looks from the show and got deets on how you can recreate them.
Tommy Hilfiger SS 2017 ‘How-to Beauty Guide:
Makeup: Pat McGrath
This year at the Tommy Hilfiger SS 2017 show, Pat wanted to keep the beauty look minimal and bare.
To start she kept the skin natural by applying a sheer amount of COVERGIRL truBlend Foundation where needed over moisturized skin.
She then created soft definition by lightly sweeping COVERGIRL truNaked Shadow Palettein the taupe shade through the crease of the eyes.
Next, Pat used the lightest color from the COVERGIRL truBlend Contour Paletteon the inner corner of eyes and brow-bone to create beautiful soft highlights.
To open up the eyes she applied a light coat of COVERGIRL So Lashy! Mascara in Brown (coming November 2016) – which works perfectly on all lash types. She began at the roots of the top lashes and wiggled towards the tips to create a voluminous natural looking lash.
To further define the eyes, she then lightly applied COVERGIRL Shape & Define Brow Mascara (coming January 2017) to groom and define the eyebrows.
The look was then completed with a swipe of COVERGIRL Oh Sugar! Lip Balm in Candy to add moisture and keep lips hydrated and natural.
Nails: Mar y Soul
The look for the show was clean and modern. Case in point the cool matte mani created with products from Zoya Nails. "The Buff Nail" look for the show only took 2 key products: Zoya's NM Naked Base and Matte Velvet Topcoat.
