This is a sponsored campaign in collaboration with Transitions® and Latina Bloggers Connect. The opinions and text are all mine.

As a life-long eyewear fan (I've been wearing glasses since I was 2 years old) I am excited to see variety and technology are part a big part of selecting glasses. Growing up there weren't as many options, especially fashionable ones that you'd actually want to wear. Now things have changed. As an accessory category eyewear is huge. Just look at celebs like Pitbull, Demi Lovato, Brad Pitt and Rihanna for some serious trendy eyewear inspiration.

Its all about personal style. Picking the right frames for you is an important choice. With so many options how can you choose the best look for you? Irma Martiznez, celebrity stylist, has teamed up with Transitions Optical to answer that question and more.

Want to know where to start when choosing the right eyewear for you? You want to choose eyewear that complements the shape of your face, skin tone, personal style and lifestyle.

Irma breaks it down for us in her video Lentes Transitions®: Estilo a Primera Vista con Irma Martinez.

1. Face Shape

There are 5 faces shapes: square, heart, oval, round and diamond The idea is that your eyewear should contrast your face shape to create balance. For example, if you have a round face try a more square shaped frame.

2. Skin Tone

Think about whether you want your glasses to stand out or blend in. If you have a deeper skin tone a lighter frame would be a lovely contrast. Conversely if you are fair, a darker frame could be quite flattering. In addition to thinking about the style and color of your frames you should keep in mind the options you have with Transitions® lenses. They are available in a variety of colors that complement many frame style and skin tones.

3. Personal Style

Maybe a bright color is a neutral. You can let you eyewear do the talking! Why not consider a practical pop of color with Transitions® lenses, they available in three colors: grey, brown, graphite green.

4. Lifestyle

This is the reality check. There are different types of Transitions® lenses, each designed to meet specific lifestyle needs. For example, People who go in and outdoors throughout the day– gardeners, people with dogs may want to consider Transitions® Signature lenses. While people who spend a lot of time outdoors might benefit more from Transitions® Vantage. Personally, I am intrigued by Transitions® XTRActive ® lenses they are designed to offer extra protection from light outdoors, indoor and even in the car. They are the only everyday photochromic lenses to darken behind the windshield.

Bonus Tip: Make time for a regular eye exam. The right prescription is key to eye health. Remember, squinting is never in style.
