Just because the New Year is here (Happy 2016!) doesn’t mean the holiday season is over. Three Kings Day or El Día de Los Reyes, is one of the most significant holiday celebrations in Latin America and in Hispanic communities across the U.S. The holiday marks the biblical adoration of baby Jesus by the Three Kings, also referred to as three Wise Men or Magi, who followed a star across the desert for twelve days to Bethlehem.
For Latinos in the U.S., this important holiday allows us the opportunity to share important family traditions. While my holiday family gatherings aren't as big as they used to be I still like to celebrate this occasion. I usually get small gifts for family, a few things for the home and also stock up on holiday items that are on sale for next year. This year I will be walking in the El Museo Del Barrio’s Three Kings Day Parade alongside camels, colorful puppets, parrandas, and more! I need to put a special parade look together so I am going to JCPenney.
Whether your celebration is large or small, JCPenney offers an array of products that can help make your family celebration even more special.
From home décor and entertaining, to gifts for children, JCPenney is an ideal shopping destination with an assortment of gifts that fits every age, lifestyle and budget to keep your celebration festive and stress-free.
My celebration is about Latinos in NYC getting together. Since I will be walking in the parade I need cute styles to keep me warm in below freezing temps and shoes that are comfy and warm to walk the parade route. Plus, I love to add cozy home accessories and stock up on ornament and holiday deals!
The following are the items I picked up at JCPenney. Some add a touch of luxe and help to set the scene for a warm and welcoming home and others speak to my parade/party style.
JCPenney Three Kings Day Shopping List:
o Luxury Faux Fur Throw ($23.99)
o Milk Glass Ribbed Ornament Set of 3 ($7.64)
o Call It Spring Rasen Booties ($44.99)
o Bleu Crystal Drop Earrings ($8.10)
o Arizona Puffer Jacket ($25.49)
My Grand Total (with coupon) was: $110.21 and nothing was over $50!
I am now all set for the parade, next Christmas and even got to refresh my home! That's why JCPenney is your one-stop shop for Three Kings Day entertaining and gifts for the whole family.
