Take it outside!

ZUMBA_rightside_graphicSometimes outdoor activities are hard to come by in NYC…
We’re gonna check out the free outdoor, dance classes at Herald Square

Thursdays, 6:00pm, May 6 to September 30
Herald Square, 34th & Broadway

To register, sign up at the NYSC table in Herald Square just before the event. All levels are welcome and anyone who participates gets a complimentary 3-day trial. Feel free to use it after Zumba to grab a shower at our 34th & Park or 38th & Broadway locations.

Zumba is a fun, easy-to-follow aerobic routine that combines Latin dance moves with cardio. It’s a wildly popular way to maximize caloric output while toning your whole body. Zumba takes the work out of working out.

Clickety-Clack… the call of the clogs!!!

Popularized in the 70’s clog’s are hot trend for spring and summer 2010. Both Louis Vuitton and Chanel had models clanking down the runway in them this past fashion week. With March Jacobs donning a pair himself while taking his bow the end of the Vuitton show.

Marc Jacobs LVPayless A&O

The updated version seems to be of the sky high heeled variety and can be quite pricey. I found a great pair from Alice & Olivia for Payless for $39.99 at www.payless.com. While they are sky-high at a fierce 4.5" there is a redeeming 1" platform for a hint of stabilization. For the price its a chic shoe. The rustic frayed canvas in a sling back style coupled with the edgy silvertone studs make enough of a statement to be worn a multitude of ways. Though, I would not recommend these for errands to the post office, supermarket or anything that requires too much walking… just in case.
